Batches of Botox from Canada May be Unsafe
Federal regulators have issued warnings about Botox that was shipped from a supplier in Canada that may be unsafe or counterfeit. Letters were sent out to at least 350 medical practices last month warning against its use by the Food and Drug Administration.
Details were released last week publicly that Botox wrinkle supplies sent by the pharmacy Canada Drugs were not FDA approved. For this reason, the Botox cannot be deemed safe or even effective. It is interesting to note at the same time that Canada Drugs has run into previous problems by shipping cancer drugs that were counterfeit and unapproved.
Botox is a wrinkle filler that is highly regulated here in the United States to keep safety as a top priority. Although it may seem scary to read a story like this at first, it is in fact comforting to see that the FDA has taken action with this batch of Botox and has isolated the problem immediately.
Botox is a safe and effective way to create a younger look by refining and smoothing out the look of fine lines and wrinkles on your skin. It must be administered properly by a recognized practitioner in order to be used safely and to give the desired results.
Here at Red Bamboo Medi Spa we have our own physician, Dr. Frank Toscano, that not only administrators the Botox treatments but also keeps up with all of the latest safety and security news available. This gives all of our patients and clients the security of knowing that all of our medical spa services provided here are monitored at the highest level for both safety and efficiency.
Patients at RedBamboo Medi Spa receiving Botox may rest assured that our supplies are not coming from the batches from this Canadian supplier.
